Hi Members,
What a fabulous long hot Summer we’ve had and as we herald in Autumn and the end of daylight saving, your committee have been busy organizing another fabulous event! The Christmas Cocktail party was such a success with lots of new and younger faces that resulted in renewed interest in Folded Wings Association.
The same result with our quiz night last month. New faces there as well. We do have a lot of fun at the Horse and Trap in Mt Eden with the Quiz Master, making wise cracks at us calling us members of the “mile high club!” It certainly tests our brain power-----and we are getting better and didn’t end up last, this time! We will organize another evening later in the year.

We are organizing a Mid-Winter Christmas Dinner at the Milford Cruising Club on: Saturday 22nd June ---- the shortest day of Winter
Complimentary drink on entry from 6pm with a beautiful Buffet sit down dinner at 7pm.

Thank you to Haydn who is a member there and as a result we have been given a 20% discount. There’s plenty of parking and is easy to find at Milford Beach. The venue is having major renovations which will be finished by then.
Tickets for current members are $60 per head or $110 per couple
Non- members $70 per head or $130 per couple.
The Buffet will include a choice of 3 meats with all the trimmings plus a huge selection of accompaniments, followed by dessert. Cash bar and tea and coffee available.
NB. Drinks will be members prices with beer and wine around $7 and bottles of wine from $20.
Very reasonably priced for what is being provided. Get a group of 8 to reserve your table with friends or take pot luck and sit with a new bunch of friends. Either way it will be another memorable evening.
As we have paid a deposit on the venue we do need to get your interest registered NOW.

COFFEE MORNINGS
City Side ----La Cigale 69 St Georges Bay Rd Second Friday of the month----take the Port exit and there is plenty of parking.
North Shore----Kings Garden Centre 1 Nile Rd, Forrest Hill, Last Thursday of the month---- exit Northcote Rd Exit.
Both from 10.30am and usually for an hour. Ladies and gents come and join us for a friendly catch up.
Spread the word Christmas is coming to the North Shore----no visas required!
